Indian team’s leg spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal’s rise in limited overs format has been exceptional to the least. He has put in some tremendous performances in the current year which has led to him cementing his place in the side.
Continuing with his good form, Chahal once again proved his worth when he picked up 3 wickets vs Windies at Guwahati on Sunday. On a day where bowlers were being constantly taken to the cleaners, Chahal stood out to produce a brilliant spell of bowling.
India eventually went on to win the game, chasing the mammoth target of 323 in just 42.1 overs after losing just 2 wickets. Following the match, Chahal posted a picture with Shikhar Dhawan from the flight as the hosts departed to Visakhapatnam for the second ODI.
“Sher and Babar sher flying together #travelday #vizag,” Chahal captioned the photo, calling himself and Dhawan both lions. Fans were quick to poke fun at the spinner as they trolled him for the ‘lion’ reference.
Amid all this fun on social media, Chahal will look to carry on from this tremendous performance and take India to a series victory. The second ODI is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at Visakhapatnam.
