Gautam Gambhir, who is regarded as India’s unsung hero in both ICC T20 World Cup and 50 over World Cup finals, turns 37 today. Cricketers, actors and his fans took to twitter to express their wishes to the Delhi opener.

Gambhir was instrumental in India lifting two ICC trophies after he played a crucial knock of 57 in the T20 World Cup final in 2007 and scintillating 97 in the 50 over World Cup final in 2011. His opening partnerships with Virender Sehwag was then a trend setter for Indian Cricket.

Also Gambhir is only the 4th batsmen in the world and first Indian to score 5 consecutive centuries in test cricket. He also captained the IPL Franchise KKR to two titles in 2012 and 2014. Even though his form has declined of late and has lost his place in the national side, Gautam Gambhir will be remembered for his selfless service in the Indian Cricket Team.

Here are some of the tweets that flooded in to wish Gambhir a very happy birthday.
