Sachin Tendulkar led the way as the Indian cricketing fraternity united to pay their tributes to the deceased Pakistan leg-spinner, Abdul Qadir.
Abdul Qadir was one of the leading leg spinners during his era and stood out from the rest of the pack with his unique style and elegance. The spinner paved the way to the next generation of Pakistani spinners such as Mushtaq Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq.
The Master Blaster was one of the first names to pay tribute while branding the legend as one of the best spinners of his times. The duo had an eventful interaction as a 16-year-old Tendulkar had smashed Qadir for four sixes in an over in a rain-curtailed exhibition match during the youngster’s maiden tour.
Here is what Tendulkar tweeted:
Remember playing against Abdul Qadir, one of the best spinners of his times. My heartfelt condolences to his family. RIP. pic.twitter.com/iu03d45sJ0

Abdul Qadir—The man who made leg-spin fashionable. Long curly hair…bounce in every step of a fairly long run-up. Rest In Peace. Condolences to the family and loved ones.
