An Afghanistan cricket fan recreated the iconic World Cup trophy out of green grass. The ICC shared the images of the art ahead of the upcoming tournament.
Cricket is a game instilled with passion. The passion is expressed in several ways, from the cheers in the stands in India to the quaint applauses in England, it knows no bounds.
In an exemplary display of passion, an Afghan fan revealed to be the brother of Afghanistan Cricket Team’s newly appointed captain Gulbadin Naib, recreated the World Cup trophy using green grass.
The image instantly won the hearts of millions of fans all over the globe. The International Cricket Council went on to post the image on their twitter handle with the caption, “WE. LOVE. THIS. A brilliant Cricket World Cup trophy made out of grass in Afghanistan, and we’d love to find the person who made it!”
