St Kitts & Nevis Patriots

CPl 2020 ha started off poorly for the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. Led by veteran West Indies bowler Rayad Emrit, Patriots have lost all three of their first matches, and are currently at the bottom of the league table, having failed to secure any points.

Full squad: Chris Lynn, Evin Lewis, Ben Dunk, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Jahmar Hamilton, Joshua Da Silva, Sohail Tanvir, Rayad Emrit (c), Ish Sodhi, Sheldon Cottrell, Alzarri Joseph

Barbados Tridents

Just one spot above the bottom of the table, the defending champions and two time winners Barbados Tridents will be looking to secure their second victory in the current season. They have lost two of the first three matches, scoring two points.

Full squad: Johnson Charles, Shai Hope (wk), Corey Anderson, Kyle Mayers, Jonathan Carter, Jason Holder (c), Mitchell Santner, Ashley Nurse, Raymon Reifer, Rashid Khan, Hayden Walsh

Waging odds: St Kitts & Nevis Patriots (2.22) vs Barbados Tridents (2.36)

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots are the waging favourites, and are priced at 2.22, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they can register their first victory of the season tomorrow, you will earn ₹222.

The two time champions Barbados Tridents are priced at 2.36, and are the waging underdogs. Placing a wage of ₹100 on them will fetch you ₹236, if they come out as the winners.

Our prediction:

Tomorrow’s game is between the two bottom most teams, struggling to earn a playoff position in the table, i.e entering the top four. They have already faced each other on the opening day of CPL 2020, where Barbados Tridents won by 6 runs.

The Patriots are eyeing their first win. Their top scorer of this season Evin Lewis (71) will lead the batting squad alongside Denesh Ramdin and Ben Dunk. Sohain Tanveer will go hand in hand with their skipper Rayad Emrit for the bowling department.

The Tridents have to rise up the table if they are to defend their title. Their captain Jason Holder is their top scorer with 99 runs. Leading their bowling squad is Rashid Khan with 4 wickets out of the previous 3 fixtures.

A win against Patriots tomorrow will earn Tridents a place in the top four. With the presence of the young and energetic Shai Hope, the Kiwi all rounder Mitchell Santner, and moreover an in-form Holder leading the pack, Barbados Tridents will pull off a victory.
