The 2020 Caribbean Premier League aka CPL 2020, 8th season of the domestic T20 cricket tournament of West Indies is entering its 11th matchday on tomorrow, 25th August, and the first match is between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders, to be held at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba.

The Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman has been absolutely marvellous for Jamaica this season, currently the highest wicket taker with 13, followed by Nepalese youngster Sandeep Lamichhane with 9 wickets.
Full squad: Chadwick Walton, Glenn Phillips (wk), Jermaine Blackwood, Asif Ali, Rovman Powell (c), Nkrumah Bonner, Carlos Brathwaite, Sandeep Lamichhane, Fidel Edwards, Veerasammy Permaul, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Trinbago Knight Riders
The three time champions Trinbago Knight Riders are on a stellar run this season, having won all six of their previous ties. The captain Kieron Pollard, scored a swashbuckling 72 off just 28. The team’s superstar all rounder Dwayne Bravo is their highest scorer this season with 153 runs.
With the in-form Sunil Narine being unfortunately unavailable tomorrow, Trinbago’s bowling will be depending on both Khary Pierre and Ali Khan, who have secured five wickets each.
Full squad: Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard (c), Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Fawad Ahmed, Darren Bravo, Lendl Simmons, Khary Pierre, Tim Seifert, Sikandar Raza, Anderson Phillip, Pravin Tambe, Jayden Seales, Amir Jangoo, Tion Webster, Akeal Hosein, Muhammad Ali Khan.
Waging odds: Jamaica Tallawahs (2.28) vs Trinbago Knight Riders (2.4)
The two time champions Jamaica Tallawahs are the waging favourites, and are priced at 2.28, meaning if you bet ₹100 on them and if they win tomorrow’s match, you’ll be making ₹2.28.
Leading the league table, Trinbago Knight Riders Warriors are priced at 2.4, and are the underdogs. Betting ₹100 on them will earn you a clean ₹240, if they snatch a victory in the match tomorrow.
While its hard to topple Trinbago from the absolutely stunning performance they have put up, Jamaica will be making an effort to secure more wins and move up the table. Their previous CPL 2020 face off on 20th August ended in a chase victory for Trinbago.
Defeating Trinbago will be a tough job, but with the absence of Narine, plus a superb performance from the Rahman-Lamichhane duo is what Jamaica needs to restrict the likes of Pollard and Bravo from putting up big score. In an effort to secure their fourth win, Jamaica Tallawahs will come out with a close victory.
