Maurizio Sarri has told that the club management of the Blues would have to face the consequences of the charge of Football Association after that incident happened at Stamford Bridge after the last minute equaliser of Ross Barkley against Manchester United. Maurizio Sarri has also mentioned that Marco Ianni should deserve a second chance. Marco Ianni has been there as the backroom staff of Maurizio Sarri from Napoli.
Ahead of the match against Bate Borisov in the Europa League, Maurizio Sarri told,
“As I said after the match, we were wrong,”
“I was there when Marco spoke to Jose Mourinho and he said sorry immediately. It was very important that he realised he was wrong. So I want to give him another opportunity because I know that he was really sorry and he realised it was a mistake.
“Everybody can make a mistake but you need to learn from a mistake. I think now as a man I am better than when I was 35. Otherwise I would be stupid. If I am not able to learn from my mistakes, I am stupid. I think he will be able to do it. I know him very well, so I am sure.”
“I have not experienced it here and I don’t know the consequence [of the FA charge],” he said. “But we were wrong and have to accept the consequences. I want him to accept the decision of the FA and then we will decide [on any further action].”
Chelsea will play against Bate Borisov on Thursday in the Europa League match at Stamford Bridge. They will miss the service of the Belgian winger Eden Hazard in this match as he is suffering from back pain. The Chelsea fans will hope that the injury is not that much crucial as they need the Belgian winger against Burnley at Turf Moor in this weekend.
