Chelsea played out a goalless draw against Leicester City at the King Power stadium. With Tottenham too dropping points, Chelsea finished the season at 3rd place.
Both Chelsea and Leicester City finished off how they began as the two sides played out a goalless draw despite creating a lot of chances in the game.
Chances came as early as in the 3rd minute as Ross Barkley received the ball inside the box when he was left unmarked. But his shot fell straight into the hands of Kasper Schmeichel.
Leicester then had their chance right before the break when the side broke out on a counter attack. But Vardy’s ball to pick out Tielemans was poor and took the chance away from him.
Minutes later Higuain had a golden opportunity to put his side in the lead but put the ball wide. Second half saw some end to end football being played by both sides but neither of them could muster any significant chance to open the scoring.
Thus this draw saw Leicester under their new manager Brendan Rodgers end the campaign at ninth place. On the other hand, a draw was enough for the London club as the side climbed up the charts to finish the season in 3rd place with 72 points.
