Jose Mourinho has been linked with the manager post at Celtic but the club has denied any contact with the Portuguese. Mourinho has been out of work since December when he was relieved of his duties as Manchester United boss.
Sky Italia reported that Celtic had launched a bid for Mourinho’s services. His agent Jorge Mendes has a ‘close relationship’ with Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell. However, the hierarchy at Parkhead has dismissed the claims that the club is after Mourinho.
The Portuguese has enjoyed great success as a manager, but his previous job has blighted his reputation somewhat. His United side was faltering in sixth place and he was subsequently fired in his third season in charge.
He has won 25 major honours in his career thus far as a manager. Chelsea, Real Madrid, Porto, and Inter Milan are the high-profile clubs he has managed. Paris Sanit-Germain is also a likely destination if they decide to sack current boss Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season.
Mourinho has not made any comments himself regarding his future, and all these links are just rumours as of now. Currently, he is working as a Pundit with beIN Sports.
