Board of Cricket Council in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah and India captain Rohit Sharma attended the unveiling of India’s new kit for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Rohit Sharma features in the new Indian Kit
The unveiling ceremony was held ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup campaign, where Rohit Sharma will be leading India in their hunt for their first major ICC trophy since 2013. The new kit, designed by Adidas, was displayed in all its glory, including the training kit, coaching staff kit, and the main kit.
The new jersey boasts a brilliant blend of blue on the main body and light orange sleeves. It also consists of two orange stripes running parallel along the waist-side, with three of Adidas’s trademark white stripes. The main kit also consists of tri-coloured stripes on its collar.
A video uploaded by BCCI’s official social media handle shows Jay Shah and Rohit Sharma examining the new colours of India first-hand, followed by a discussion between them. In another video, Rohit Sharma could be seen walking alongside Jay Shah at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and they unveiled the jersey as well as the official training kits.
It is time to welcome our team in new colors.

Adidas had previously announced India’s new kit through a video on the social media handles, which featured Indian cricket stars Rohit, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja welcoming the new kit at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
India has been donning designs by Adidas ever since the BCCI penned a multi-year contract with them on May 23, 2023. Before Adidas came on board, it was Killer Jeans, a clothing brand by MPL, who were India’s kit sponsors.
