Indian mixed doubles aces Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto have soared into their career best rank at World No 33, while HS Prannoy is edging close to make a return to the top 15 in the latest BWF World Rankings.
A former World No. 8, Prannoy has been in tremendous form this year. After bagging gold at the Thomas Cup, Prannoy made it to the quarterfinals at both 2022 BWF World Championships as well as the 2022 Japan Open.
Prannoy has marked vital wins over former World No. 1 Kento Momota and 2021 World Champion Loh Kean Yew this year. The 30-year-old is now ranked 16th in the world and is just one spot below from returning to the top 15 after a gap of four years. Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth has jumped up to World No. 12 after gaining two spots.
The mixed doubles pair of Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto have reached their career highest rank at World No. 33, courtesy to them making it to the second round at the BWF Worlds.
London Olympics bronze medallist Saina Nehwal is also at World No. 33 after gaining three spots, while two time Olympics medallist PV Sindhu has returned to World No. 7 after dropping to 8 for a short period of time.
