Jos Buttler got a second life in the very first over after his dismissal was overturned. Bhuvneshwar Kumar set the England batters with a barrage of swinging deliveries but stepped out of the crease when it mattered.
The right-arm pacer was making the ball talk on a surface with a hint of green cover. He began with three successive outswingers that made Buttler uneasy. He then proceeded to introduce the inswinger as well.
For the fifth delivery of the over, following four dot balls, Bhuvneshwar Kumar invited Buttler to drive with a full delivery well outside off. The 31-year-old went for the drive, only to get an outside edge. The catch was well taken by Abdul Samad at first slip.
As Buttler was making his way back into the pavilion, the third umpire signalled no ball and conveyed the decision to the on-field umpire. Watch the video right below:

Earlier, Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bowl first. Apart from the skipper, Aiden Markram, Romario Shepherd and Nicholas Pooran were the overseas players.
On the other hand, Royals skipper Sanju Samson, playing his 100th game for the franchise, named Trent Boult, Shimron Hetmyer, Jos Buttler and Nathan Coulter Nile as the overseas players.
