Team India has been playing against Australia and their ongoing tour has seen the rise of a pace bowler – T Natarajan. Known as the ‘Yorker King’ of Team India, the left-arm pacer has impressed everyone with his sheer brilliance. Even, the speedster is also the highest wicket-taker of the three-match T20I series with six wickets in his name.

As the T20 World Cup is near, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has said that T Natarajan can play a key role in Indian bowling attack in the mega event. He also believes, with Natarajan’s inclusion, the bowling attack will look extremely dangerous as well. During on Sony Network’s cricket talk show, he stressed that India could have a strong pace attack at the T20 World Cup, which is slated to be played in India if Natarajan continues to play the way he has been playing now.

“India will have a very strong bowling lineup for the T20 World Cup if T Natarajan plays with Bumrah and Bhuvi. The T20 format is such that a bowler who gives less runs today, can get hit tomorrow,” said Sehwag. “But his execution is very good, whether it is the yorker, slower one or length ball. Bumrah also has the same quality. He will realise after this tour, how big a change it has brought to his career. People will be wanting to learn from him and trying to become like him.”

He also recalled how Murali Vijay helped him to add the pace bowler in Kings XI Punjab squad for 2017 edition of Indian Premier League. He also revealed that Natarajan once told him that he wanted to play for India but didn’t believe that he would get the opportunity to represent the country.

“He had told me that his dream was also to play for India but he didn’t feel that he will be able to play in the IPL or for India,” added Sehwag.

Notably, Natarajan has been selected for the T20I squad after uncapped spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury. He was the backup for seamer Navdeep Saini in the ODI squad and proved his worth after making his debut in the third and final ODI against Australia and did fairly well in the T20I series also.
