Ah yes, its Zlatan Ibrahimović who is on the top of viral topics once again. The Swede is soon likely to end his Major League Soccer spell and make a comeback to Europe, and the striker has the perfect solution ready for Americans to cope up with the void he will leave. Well, they should just watch baseball.
The 38 year old veteran, who has spent two marvellous seasons with LA Galaxy with 52 goals in 56 appearances, has openly announced on Twitter that he will be departing the club before the 2020 season, and return to the European continent.
The Swedish international tweeted the news today: “I came, I saw, I conquered. Thank you @lagalaxy for making me feel alive again.” along with a gratuitous gesture to the club.
However, he continued addressing the supporters, and gave them a comical solution to his absence from the Dignity Health Sports Park, by saying they should start watching their national game- baseball.
“To the Galaxy fans – you wanted Zlatan, I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome. The story continues…Now go back to watch baseball” he added.
Baseball is the most watched sport in the country- in a survey conducted by statista.com, the average number of viewers in 2019 peaked at 13.91 million.
Although, Zlatan’s next destination is still being speculated. it can either be the struggling Manchester United, the club he left in 2018 for Galaxy, or his former sides such as Inter Milan, Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan or even Barcelona. The 2020 January transfer window might have the answer.
