BREAKING: Shikhar Dhawan sold to Punjab Kings for ₹8.25 crores

Indian batting ace Shikhar Dhawan, who played for Delhi Capitals(DC) in the Indian Premier League(IPL), has been bought by Punjab Kings for a bid of ₹8.25 crores during the first day of the IPL Mega Auctions.

Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals also tried to rope in Dhawan, but it were the Punjab Kings who managed to buy the veteran star.

2022 IPL edition is right around the corner. The cash-rich tournament is set to be a 10-team affair with the latest inclusion of Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.

All the IPL franchises are working to buy players in the Mega Auctions that will see the shuffling of the deck in the franchises. The IPL Mega Auctions is be a two-day event and it is underway in Bengaluru on February 12 and will also take place on 13 and will see a total of 590 players – 228 capped, 355 uncapped and seven from Associate nations going under the hammer.
