The talented Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been sold to Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) for a price of in the Indian Premier League(IPL) Mega Auctions. He has been bought by the former champions for a bid of a whopping ₹12.25 crores during the first day of the IPL Mega Auctions. This bidding marked the first ₹10+ crores bid of the day.

Lucknow Super Giants went on for ₹6.25 crores. DC were back at ₹6.50 crores. Ultimately, KKR managed to snatch the batter for a price tag of ₹12.25 crores.
2022 IPL edition is right around the corner. The cash-rich tournament is set to be a 10-team affair with the latest inclusion of Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.
All the IPL franchises are working to buy players in the Mega Auctions that will see the shuffling of the deck in the franchises. The IPL Mega Auctions is be a two-day event and it is underway in Bengaluru on February 12 and will also take place on 13 and will see a total of 590 players – 228 capped, 355 uncapped and seven from Associate nations going under the hammer.
