India’s boxing icon and six time world champion Mary Kom claimed the gold medal with ease in the 23rd President’s Cup today.

Kom showed why she was one of the best as the Olympic bronze medallist got past April Franks 5-0 in the 51kg bout final in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.
This marks Mary Mom’s first event after winning the gold at the India Open tournament in May. With the world championship coming up shortly, it gives Mary Kom some.much needed game time and test.
The 2019 World Boxing Championships for women will be held from September 7 to 21. Mary Kom will look to deliver in that event and book a place in the all important 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 36-year-old following her victory today took to Twitter to post a motivational message. Her efforts today drew praise from thousands of fans on social media.
