Boxing: Manny Pacquiao reportedly signs with Al Haymon

One of the biggest stars in world boxing Manny Pacquiao has reportedly signed with powerful manager/advisor Al Haymon, thus by leaving his longtime promoter Bob Arum according to the BoxingScene report has just recently done the same with business manager Michael Koncz.

The source says that Pacquiao will likely fight Adrien Broner at the beginning of 2019, then after rematching his longtime rival Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao’s decision to hook up with Haymon also comes with another perk, said the source. Who is joining hands with renowned dealmaker Sean Gibbons in the negotiations with Mayweather and Haymon.

“It will be an opportunity for other Filipino fighters to shine in the US,” he said, noting that ex-world bantam champion Marlon Tapales will soon be fighting under Pacquiao’s MP Promotions.

Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) is most recently coming off a stoppage win over Lucas Matthysse in July in a thrilling fight which took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
