KSI vs Logan Paul was billed as the biggest event on the internet, as the two youtube superstars from the United Kingdom and the United States went toe to toe with each other exchanging heavy leathers in front of a sold-out crowd of 21,000 fans at the Manchester Arena in London.

The fight took place at the early hours of the morning as per IST and with millions of people watching the fight online through different means. This was truly a historic event for YouTubers and many also compared it to Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather of YouTube world and both guys collectively had over 37 Million subscribers.

The fight, however, wasn’t free and came with a price tag of 10 USD or 7.5 GBP or ₹668.00. Although the price wasn’t insanely high like Mayweather vs McGregor which cost around $100, still many people were found watching the fights via illegal streaming channels.

Although the early estimates indicated that the fight sold around 800,000 PPV, but KSI speaking to talkSport revealed that fight sold over a Million PPV buys – roughly equating Conor McGregor vs Chad Mendes buyrate at UFC 189.

“It’s over a mil,” KSI told Hawksbee and Jacobs on Tuesday.

“Over 950,000 on YouTube and then 100,000+ on another website [which was also used to distribute the fight].”

He also tossed away the rumors of both making upwards of £40m.

“It’s definitely not right, that’s ridiculous that amount,” he said with a chuckle.

“I mean obviously it’s a high amount, but it’s nowhere near £40m.”

“Ten years ago when I started this whole YouTube thing I never thought I’d be in a ring, especially at Manchester Arena in front of thousands there live and millions around the world.

“If someone had told me that ten years ago, I’d have told them they’re smoking something.”

This 1 Million figure dwarfs major PPV Boxing/MMA events; last year not a single UFC PPV was able to cross the 1 Million mark and in fact, up until the this year’s last UFC PPV which took place earlier this month UFC 227 had also failed to crack a million buys.

Even major Boxing PPV’s which took place in UK including Haye vs Bellew failed to cross the million buys mark.
