Kubrat Pulev was supposed to meet Dillian Whyte in an IBF heavyweight title eliminator. Once Whyte elected to fight Joseph Parker, it left Pulev and his team upset. They went on to release a statement, voicing their displeasure in the situation.
A couple of days later, Pulev’s team announced that they were in negotiations with Alexander Dimitrenko. However, the IBF has thrown a wrinkle in those plans as they have ordered Pulev face Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller in a final eliminator for Anthony Joshua’s title.
Miller, undefeated, was last in the ring in late April. He defeated Johann Duhaupas by unanimous decision. He has never had an issue speaking his mind and was hoping the victory would get him a title shot against heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua.
Pulev on his end, perhaps is starting to regret pulling out of the bout against Joshua last year. He has not been in the ring since April of 2017, when he defeated Kevin Johnson by unanimous decision.
