After more than two months of no football actions, Bundesliga has finally made a come back as the first European top flight to resume after the global lock down amidst the novel Coronavirus pandemic. Today is the 26th match day of the 2019-20 season of the German league, and in the season reopener between Borussia Dortmund and Schalke, it was a rout for the visitors as the hosts have dominated with a 4-0 victory at an empty Signal Iduna Park.

Coming from a 2-1 away victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach on 7th March, today’s superb win was Dortmund’s 16th victory of the current season in a behind closed doors face off.

The prolific forward Erling Håland opened up the scoreline for Dortmund in the 29th minute with a striking receive from Thorgan Hazard’s cross. The Belgian winger himself also netted one in by the 48th minute.

It was an amazing performance from Raphaël Guerreiro, BVB’s superstar midfielder, who landed a brace, with each goal coming in both halves. The 26 year old Portguese scored his first nearing the end of the first half, and his second came off after a through from Håland in the 63rd minute.

Dortmund are still on the second spot in the table, with 54 points from 26 matches, They are trailing just a single point behind Bayern, the table toppers who will be back in action tomorrow against Union Berlin at the German capital.

Hertha Berlin snatched a 3-0 away victory against Hoffenheim, starting with an own goal from centre back Kevin Akpoguma, followed by strikes from Vedad Ibišević and Matheus Cunha.

it was a 2-1 victory for VfL Wolfsburg against Augsburg at the Wwk Arena. Renato Steffen opened up the scoreline for the visitors, followed by an own goal from Wolfsburg defender John Brooks. However, Daniel Ginczek netted in the match winner in the injury time.

Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Paderborn and and RB Leipzig vs Freiburg both matches ended in a draw. While the former concluded in a goalless tie, Yussuf Poulsen and Manuel Gulde each scored one in the latter ending one all.

The Frankfurt vs Monchengladbach face off ended in 1-3 for the visitors at the Commerzbank Arena. Alassane Pléa opened up the scoreline in the first minute for Gladbach, six minutes before their second strike from Marcus Thuram and a spot kick from Ramy Bensebaini.
