India was playing Pakistan on Sunday, and Virat Kohli was on the field with high intensity. However, it was Ben Stokes who was garnering attention from cricket fans on Twitter.
In a tweet on Sunday, Stokes cleared the air about how Kohli did not take his name while celebrating. He has been mentioned in numerous tweets which suggest that Kohli actually pronounces the English all-rounder’s name every time he breaks into a celebration on the pitch, which is actually a North-Indian curse word.
Virat Kohli has been seen saying this word several times on the field when he celebrates the fall of a wicket of the opposition. However, the similarity to the name of Ben Stokes led Stokes to tweet out, clearing out that it is not his name that the Indian skipper calls for every time he celebrates.
Ben Stokes jokingly said that he might delete his twitter account now so that he could avoid his name being associated to every Virat Kohli celebration.
I may delete Twitter just so I don’t have to see another tweet reading “He’s saying Ben Stokes”(when he’s clearly not😆)in reply to a video of Virat saying you know what 🤦♂️🤦♂️it was funny the first 100,000 times.

This tweet took no time in attracting eyeballs, and it went viral in no time. Ben Stokes had people replying to his tweet with GIFs of Kohli celebrating with that word.
There were some hilarious memes as well, which came in.

Meanwhile, India will be up against England on the 30th of June at Edgbaston. It would be interesting to see what Virat Kohli says after taking the wicket of 28-year old Stokes.
