The Catalan Giants have paid a transfer fee worth £75 million to land Frenkie De Jong and another £11 miilon variable will also be added on. Frenkie De Jong made his debut in 2016 and he is a first team regular of Dutch National side.
The top European clubs like Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City were interested to bring in the sensational young midfielder in this January transfer window. However, the President of Ajax made it clear that the best destination for the player will be Camp Nou at this moment.
After the inclusion of Kevin Prince Boateng in their squad in this winter transfer window, Frenkie De Jong is Barcelona’s second signing of this transfer window.
