Barcelona have finally announced the signing of Antonie Griezmann in their official website on Friday. Accoding to the sources, the Catalan Giants have paid the release clause of the French attacker in the head quarter of La Liga. So, now Griezmann is officially a player of Barcelona.
However, the things have not settled down yet. The previous club of Griezmann, Atletico Madrid are planning to go to court regarding the transfer fees of the player. Accoding to the club management of Atletico Madrid, the agreement between Griezmann and Barcelona were finalized before the end of the previous season. At that moment the release clause of the French attacker was around £200 million. After the end of this season, it became £120 million. Barcelona paid £120 million to bring in Antonie Griezmann but they should have to pay £200 million. The club management of Atletico Madrid officially released a statement regarding this on the same day.
So, the transfer saga of Antonie Griezmann will now continue for few days more if Atletico Madrid decide to go to court regarding this. The addition of Antonie Griezmann will certainly strengthen the squad of Barcelona in the next season and they will now be determined to win the Champions League.
