Balaji-Begemann continue their purple patch

Balaji and Begemann began their journey in the tournament by stunning the top seeds, Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek of the USA. This victory was a significant upset and set the tone for their subsequent performances. The duo then faced India’s Arjun Kadhe and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinal match, Balaji and Begemann showcased their dominance on the court. They secured a commanding straight-set victory over Kadhe and Nedunchezhiyan, winning 6-0, 6-3 in just 59 minutes.

Throughout the match, Balaji and Begemann demonstrated their expertise. They secured two aces and won an impressive 86 per cent (38/44) of their first serve points. Despite Kadhe and Nedunchezhiyan’s efforts to save 50 per cent of their breakpoints, Balaji and Begemann remained unfazed. They successfully defended against all five break points they faced.

With their consistent performance and formidable teamwork, Balaji and Begemann are now primed for a thrilling showdown in the upcoming semifinal clash. They are set to face off against the fourth-seeded Australian team comprising Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson in the US men’s Clay Court Championship semifinals.
