In a game that was similar to how Kashyap went about his quarter final encounter, he lost the first game and came back tremendously well to bag the match winning the final two games.

The sixth seed despite losing the first game in a convincing manner came back to beat Wang 14-21, 21-17, 21-18 in the match that lasted an hour and ten minutes. Thus this win sees the 32-year-old extend his head to head record vs Wang to 3-0.
