Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif has made a statement that has caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts worldwide. He suggested that Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, should learn from Indian cricket stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli on how to handle pressure in high-stakes matches.

Latif’s comments come ahead of the much-anticipated T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled to take place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. This match is eagerly awaited by cricket fans globally, who are keen to see these two Asian heavyweights compete.

According to Latif, Babar will be under significant pressure due to the game against India, more so than his performance in the World Cup. He believes that Babar, despite being one of the best batters in the world, still has a lot to learn as a captain and leader.

“The focus is on the game on June 9 against India. Babar (Pakistan captain) will be under a lot of pressure because of the game against India rather than performing in the World Cup,” Latif told PTI.

Latif suggests that Babar should learn from Rohit and Kohli, who have demonstrated exceptional ability to carry the game under pressure. Both Rohit and Kohli have shown time and again their ability to perform under pressure, guiding their team to victory in crucial matches.

“But he has to learn to carry pressure, he should learn that from Virat and Rohit. They know how to carry the game. As a batter, Babar is one of the best but as a captain and leader, there’s a lot that he needs to learn,” he added.

Latif also highlighted the importance of India’s left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, stating that if he remains fit throughout the World Cup, he could pose a significant challenge for the batters. He believes that Kuldeep is a key player for India and could be instrumental in their success in the upcoming match.
