Australia tour of India dates announced – and they end just 10 days before IPL begins

The Australian cricket team will tour India from 24th February for two T20s and five ODIs, the BCCI announced today. The second T20 will be played in Visakhapatnam on 27th February.

The five ODIs will be played on March 2 (Hyderabad), 5 (Nagpur), 8 (Ranchi), 10 (Mohali) and 13 (Delhi).

All ODIs will be day/night affairs, starting at 1:30 PM IST, while the T20Is will commence at 7 PM IST according to a press release by BCCI.

 

This series will be the final international tour for the Australian before the ICC Cricket World Cup to be held in England and Wales from 30th May 2019.

Whereas India will play an ODI series in Zimbabwe which will be later followed by the Indian Premier League which will take place from 24th March 2019.

Therefore, Australia’s tour of India will be a great test ahead of the world cup for both the teams to pick the squad for the world cup.

India is coming off of a historical test victory in Australia considering this was the first time in 71 years that India won a series in Australia, having first toured in 1947-48.

India is set to play Australia in a Three ODI matches starting from 12th January till 18th January. The opening ODI match will be played in Sydney.
