An overcast setting at the SCG saw India make quick work of the resilient Australian tail order to enforce the follow-on.
Much like the end of Day 3 where the rain stopped the play, Day 4 too was a grim patch with only 25.2 overs bowled over the course of the day’s play. Resuming the Day at a weary position of 236-6, the Aussie tail-order were unable to rescue the sinking ship.

Kuldeep Yadav made a strong case for his selection in the future after being the first spinner to claim a five-wicket haul on Aussie soil on debut. Indian captain Virat Kohli took no hesitation to enforce the follow-on unlike at MCG, where he opted against it.
Trailing a mammoth 322 in their second innings, the rain gods came to the rescue of the hosts which ensured that only 4 overs were bowled before the umpires called it a day.
It’s pride against glory on the final day of an enthralling series where the equation favours the hosts for a change Down Under.
