Mir’s achievement came in the Final Race of Round One in the Micro Max Class, where she clocked a timing of 12:21.397 points. Chennai’s Rivaan Preetham and Rehan Khan, both from Team Sport like Mir, took the top two positions on the podium with timings of 12:16.790 and 12:19.920 respectively.

This win adds to Mir’s impressive record, marking her third podium finish in three consecutive weekends across different classes. This rare distinction speaks volumes about her consistency and determination.

Mir had finished fifth in the qualifying round on Saturday, only 0.2 seconds off the Pole position. Despite the initial struggle with technical issues, her team, MSport, was able to rectify the problems and provide her with a competitive kart. In the Pre-Finals and Finals, Mir showcased top form and secured a solid consistent drive, which culminated in a podium finish.

Speaking after her win, Mir expressed her joy at being back home in India and participating in this prestigious championship. She praised the competition and drivers, stating that it was great fun driving with them. While she was happy with the result, she also expressed her ambition to achieve more in the next round.

Mir’s father, former India National Karting Champion Asif Nazir, expressed his satisfaction with the result. He highlighted that the decision to compete in the championship was made only a week prior. He thanked MSport for their support and expressed optimism for Round Two.
