The Men In Blue will kick off their Asia Cup campaign against Hong Kong at the Dubai. India will head into the competition as the defending champions. Going without Virat Kohli for the competition, Rohit Sharma will lead the squad with Shikhar Dhawan named as the deputy.

Coming into the tournament through the qualification, Hong Kong’s journey began on a sour note with an 8-wicket loss over Pakistan. The batsmen failed to cope up with the potent Pakistan bowling line up. The Hong Kong side would look to upstage an upset over the No.2 ODI ranked side.

Stand in skipper Rohit Sharma has hinted the inclusion of newbie Khaleel Ahmed right away in the line-up. With a high octane clash against Pakistan ahead instantly after Hong Kong, the Hitman will ponder upon some long-term changes in the eleven.

With a fresh middle order in sight for India, KL Rahul, Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav head ahead to make it into the eleven with Manish Pandey and Dinesh Karthik as potential backups.

Probable line-up: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed
