Arshdeep Singh, the talented left-arm fast bowler, has made a significant leap in the ICC T20I rankings, breaking into the top 10 for the first time in his career. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, the charismatic all-rounder, has returned to the top 3 in the ICC T20I all-rounders’ list after his stellar performance against Bangladesh.

Arshdeep Singh’s Rise

Arshdeep Singh’s impressive performance in the opening T20I against Bangladesh in Gwalior has propelled him to the eighth spot in the ICC T20I bowling rankings. His three-wicket haul, which included figures of 3/14, earned him 642 rating points and an eight-place jump from his previous ranking of 16. This achievement makes him the only Indian bowler in the top 10, showcasing his consistency and effectiveness in the shortest format of the game.

Hardik Pandya‘s Return

Hardik Pandya has made a remarkable comeback to the top 3 in the ICC T20I all-rounders’ rankings. His heroics in the same match against Bangladesh saw him score an unbeaten 39 off just 16 balls, including five fours and two sixes. With the ball, he claimed a wicket for 26 runs in his four overs. These performances have earned him a seven-place rise in the rankings, placing him third behind only England’s Adil Rashid and Akeal Hossain of the West Indies.

With the T20I series against Bangladesh still ongoing, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya will be looking to maintain their form and continue their ascent in the rankings. Their performances will be crucial for India’s success in the series and will also be closely watched by selectors for future international assignments.
