Arsenal have lost out on the Champions League and building a competitive squad to compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool would be a real task this summer for the Arsenal Directors. The task is not made easier by interest on Lacazette by Barca and Aubameyang by Chinese clubs.
Aubameyang was instrumental in the Premier League last season , getting Arsenal 22 goals and winning the top scorer trophy. The Gabonese International is close to 30 now and could be eyeing a move out of Arsenal as the Champions League incentive is no more present.
It has been suggested the Chinese clubs could offer Aubameyang around £300,000-a-week, a figure which is less than the Gunners currently pay Mesut Ozil but one they are unwilling to match, given a wider necessity of reducing their wage bill.
Manager Unai Emery will be under real pressure to keep both strikers at the club and offload uninspired Mesut Ozil at the same time.
