India captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma has recently blessed with a baby girl. As they didn’t share her picture and name earlier, it certainly left fans in surprise. However, Anushka Sharma has drawn the curtain on Monday as she took to Instagram and shared an adorable family picture where she can be seen with her husband Virat Kohli and her daughter.
She thanked everyone for their beautiful wishes and prayers. But there was something that stole the limelight. In her post on Instagram, Anushka has also revealed the name of her newborn baby girl – Vamika.
“We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss – emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full. Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy,” Anushka Sharma captioned the picture in her post on Instagram.
However, she also said that the born of their child has made them experience different emotions as well. She again shared that despite the fact that “sleep is elusive” due to her arrival in the family, their “hearts are so full”.
As far as Virat Kohli is concerned, he is currently going through his quarantine time in Chennai prior to the first Test against England, which is scheduled to begin on February 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. He is all set to return to international cricket as well as take over his captaincy duty.
He last featured in the first Test against Australia in Adelaide last month before he returned home to be with his wife, Anushka Sharma for the birth of their first child following the grant of his paternity leave. In his absence, stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane led India in the final three Tests and secured a historic series win as well.
