The upcoming T20 World Cup in June is set to witness an exciting collaboration between cricket and the dairy industry. Indian dairy giant, Amul, has been announced as the sponsor for the USA and South Africa cricket teams.

Amul, one of India’s most iconic and trusted dairy brands, will feature prominently as the Lead Arm sponsor for both the USA and South African teams. This sponsorship marks a significant step towards expanding and popularizing cricket across nations.

The USA, co-hosting the tournament for the first time, will make its tournament debut. The tournament will kick off with a match between USA and Canada on June 1. This is a momentous occasion for USA cricket, which recently showcased its potential by emerging victorious against Canada with a 4-0 win in a bilateral series.

South Africa, a seasoned participant with a rich cricketing history, will play their tournament opener against Sri Lanka on June 3. Amul’s association with the South African team isn’t new; they were associated with the team in the 2019 ODI series and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Amul’s global presence extends to the USA, where Amul milk is now available for purchase. This association signifies a significant step towards expanding cricket’s popularity. Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Amul, expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with esteemed brands like Amul, emphasizing their shared commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

He highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating that the goodness of Amul Milk will fuel the USA Cricket team’s pursuit of success on the global stage. “The goodness of Amul Milk will empower the USA Cricket team to win hearts and laurels from across the world. We wish our best to the team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024,” he said.

On the association with the Proteas, he added, “Amul has been associated with the South Africa team in the 2019 ODI series and 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup. We are proud to further strengthen our association with the South Africa men’s cricket team and wish them all the best for the T20 World Cup”.
