Ajax shocked Real Madrid to storm into the quarter final of UEFA Champions League in this season. Ajax were behind after the first leg with a margin of 1-2. However, they won the second leg with a margin 4-1 to book their place in the quarter final of the top most competition of Europe.

Ajax started the match at the Bernabeu with a spark. At the 7th minute of the match, Hakim Ziyech put the away side ahead. Just 10 minutes later, David Neres scored another goal to give Ajax the lead in the aggregate scoreline for the first time in this clash. Both the assists were provided by Dusan Tadic. The first half ended with a scoreline of 2-0 in favour of Ajax.

Lasse Schone’s brilliant free kick goal at 72nd minute of the match sealed the win for Ajax. The match ended with an aggregate scoreline of 5-3 in favour of Ajax and the Dutch side went through to the quarter final of the Champions League.
