Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has agreed the terms for a move to Real Madrid at the end of the season, reports coming out of France claim. Zinedine Zidane eyes him as an outstanding midfield option, and given that Rabiot’s contract runs out in the summer, a free agent signing is something Real welcome happily.

Rabiot fell out with manager Thomas Tuchel and the club’s hierarchy over contract agreement disputes last December, and hasn’t since played a single game with the senior team. Instead he has been sidelined to play with the U23 side, and was banned from their training ground.

With the failure of having a new contract signed and being in the final 3-month stretch of an expiring deal, the 24-year old midfielder will be leaving on a free come June. It was reported in the January transfer window that La Liga champions Barcelona were keen on signing Rabiot, however, no deal materialized till the end.

With the prospect of signing a talent like the France international, clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United among others were in line for his signature, but it is Zinedine Zidane’s side that Rabiot will be joining, as per reports.

According to French media outlet Canal+, Rabiot has opted to join the Los Blancos and is on the verge of signing a provisional agreement, with a verbal deal that is already said to have been ‘agreed’ by Rabiot’s representatives.
