Actors Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani attend Armwrestling tournament at Ater Mahotsav


Bhind kicked off a five-day “Ater Mahotsav.” from February 10. The Mahotsav was attended by actor and ProPanja League founder Pravin Dabas and his actress partner Preeti Jhangiani. On Twitter, Mr Dabas expressed his delight and gratitude to Bhind Collector:

On the banks of the Chambal River and at Ater Fort, a variety of events were arranged during the Mahotsav, including cultural shows, outdoor activities, and sports. One such activity was armwrestling tournament that was arranged for women and specially abled athletes.

Pro Panja League star and former Armwrestling world champion Manish Kumar was facilitated with Ater Shri Award by Hon’ble Minister of Co-operatives & Public Services Management Shri Arvind Singh Bhadoria.

Pro Panja League in Ater Fort?

Pro Panja League owner Mr Parvin Dabas was heavily impressed by the grandness of the Ater Fort. He continued by saying that Ater has a beautiful fort, and that by holding Pro Panja League there, the sport can gain a lot exposure.

To make ProPanja league more inclusive, we organise matches for specially-abled people as well,” Dabas added.

He left no chance to praise Bhind and saying the district has progressed a lot. “It feels good to see that Bhind– earlier known for dacoits, now has students learning computer and tech.

Actor Preeti Jhangiani also praised the local authorities in promoting education to the children in the villages. She toured the Gohad region of the district before travelling to Bhind. She praised the efforts being made to support children’s schooling in the villages that have not yet received electricity. To provide students with access to education and the internet, solar-powered computers are being installed in buses.
