The cricket world is all set for the ICC World Cup which will take place in England and Wales from 30th May 2019. All the teams including Australia are very confident and optimistic about the upcoming world cup.

The Australian team has been on a terrific run ahead of the ICC world cup, having lost to India in the home series, they bounced back to beat India 3-2 in the ODI series played in the subcontinent and are also leading 4-0 in a five-match ODI series against Pakistan which is being played in UAE.

However, Australian captain Aaron Finch has said that it’s hard to select between Steve Smith and David Warner who were surrounded by ball tampering incident and banned from world cricket.

It is bloody hard,” he said.

Especially when the side is playing so well, it’s going to be difficult. No matter who it is.

At the end of the day… it’s an incredibly tough decision. Whatever balance you go with in that 15-man squad, there’s going to be some very unlucky blokes out there.

Aaron Finch also said that even though the team struggled without Warner and Smith for a while, the whole team adapted well without the duo.

The fact that guys are getting more of an opportunity to keep developing their role, and developing the role they’ve been asked to play or the game demands, is gold,” he said.

That probably goes under the radar a little bit when you’re looking at teams that have been successful in the past.
