Premier League action continued with a feisty encounter between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs in London with both teams eyeing a Champions League spot. The talking point of the first half was David De Gea’s error which earned the wrath of former Red Devils skipper and Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane.
The Spaniard’s error gave the hosts a crucial lead after Steven Bergwijn eased his way into the box with minimal effort from captain Harry Maguire.
Roy Keane, known for his sheer ruthlessness, tore into De Gea and proceeded to call him as one of the most overrated goalkeepers he’s seen in a long long time. He stated:
“I can’t believe [Luke] Shaw heads the ball up and then runs forward, I’m staggered at Maguire, staggered that an international player can get done like this, and I’m sick to death of this goalkeeper.
“This is an established international goalkeeper. I’m flabbergasted. There’s got to be something going on at half-time.
“De Gea is the most overrated goalkeeper I’ve seen in a long, long time.

To rub salts into the wounds of the duo, the former captain claimed that he would have swung his arms at them and would not have allowed them back on the team bus.
The move began with a goal kick from Luke Shaw which was headed into the path of Marcus Rashford. In a bid to win the ball, the forward unintentionally sent the ball directly into the path of Steven Bergwijn. The Dutch winger proceeded to dribble past a caught out Harry Maguire and hit a powerful shot right at the keeper. De Gea, failed to keep the shot at bay as the ball ricocheted off him and into the net.
The visitors ultimately were able to take something out of the game after converting a penalty in the 81st minute. The Red Devils started off well but struggled to get going after conceding the goal before Paul Pogba’s introduction turned things around.
