The 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup

The thirteenth edition of the Cricket World Cup, a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament organised every four years by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the ICC World Cup is all set to be held in India around October to November 2023.

A tournament solely contested by men’s national teams, the 2023 ICC World Cup is being held in India for the first time. Moreover, being the fourth-largest sporting event in the world, the 2023 ICC World Cup is definitely a major sporting event to look forward to in 2023.

FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023

The ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup competition, an international women’s football championship, is organised by FIFA and is held every four years, a year after the men’s FIFA World Cup tournament.

Scheduled to take place from 20 July 2023 to 20 August 2023, the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament, for the first time, will be hosted jointly by New Zealand and Australia. It’ll be a popular event next year so book flight tickets as early as possible to avail yourself of cheap flights to those countries.

Following the same format as the men’s FIFA World Cup tournament, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will be more significant than the previous editions as it will introduce the expanded format of 32 teams from the previous 24. Therefore, the FIFA Women’s World Cup is yet another major sporting event to look forward to in 2023.

Rugby World Cup 

A significant sporting event to look forward to, especially if you are a rugby enthusiast, the tenth edition of the men’s Rugby World Cup 2023 is all set to be held from 8 September to 28 October 2023 in nine venues across France.

The quadrennial world championship held between men’s rugby union teams and the opening and final matches for the Rugby World Cup 2023 will take place at the Stade de France in the commune of Saint-Denis, north of Paris.

World Combat Games 2023

Organised by the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), and hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the World Combat Games 2023 is all set to be held in the capital city of the Kingdom, Riyadh.

Scheduled to take place from 21 October 2023 to 30 October 2023, the international multi-sport festival will feature 15 combat sports and martial arts competitions, sports demonstrations and educational conferences hosted by leading martial arts experts.

Bringing together ancient traditions and exciting sports competitions, the World Combat Games 2023 is undoubtedly another prominent sporting event to look forward to in 2023.
