Anticipation was on the peak regarding former Indian Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar’s debut in the commentary box. The little master, much to the fans’ delight was a part of the commentary team in the  ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 opener that featured the hosts England taking on South Africa.

Tendulkar, regarding his entry in the commentary box said “I know, I am having the same feeling I had in Pakistan in 1989. Now it’s 2019, I am having the same feeling. 30 years down the line. I have a microphone in hand, not a cricket bat. Looking forward to it,”

The Master Blaster entertained everyone with his cricketing brain as he dished out several fascinating comments on air.

On being asked about his favourite Non-Indian Batsman and Bowler in the tournament, Tendulkar picked the Aussie Opening Batsman David Warner as his top choice. Apparently, the Master was seemingly impressed with the hunger Warner has shown since making a comeback in competitive cricket. Warner’s commitment during the recently concluded IPL in the tough April conditions of India was unbelievable according to Tendulkar.

In terms of the bowlers, Sachin Tendulkar went ahead with the World Cup debutant Jofra Archer whom he hails to be a seamer who can both contain runs as well pick wickets for his side at regular intervals.

Interestingly, Archer bowled a match-winning spell picking up 3 wickets for 27 runs aiding England to emerge victorious against the Proteas by a mammoth 104 runs.
