India’s rising sensation Lakshya Sen stormed into the men’s singles semifinals after defeating fellow countrymen BM Rahul Bharadwaj in straight games at the Dutch Open Super 100 tournament.

The 18-year-old beat Bharadwaj 21-9 21-16 in a match that lasted just 37 minutes on Friday night.
Lakshya dominated right from the start, establishing a 6-0 lead early on and heading into the break at 11-3. He then returned to seal the game 21-9.
The second game saw Bharadwaj put up a spirited fight, surging into a 4-2 lead early on. But Lakshya proved to be a very tough nut to crack and held on quite well to seal a victory in straight games.
He will now take on Felix Burestedt of Sweden in the last four. Lakshya is targeting his second title after clinching the Belgian Open last month.
Lakshya is the current Asian Junior champion while also having clinched silver at Youth Olympic Games and a bronze medal at the World Junior Championships last year.
