She won the first two rounds, defeating Indonesia’s Syifa Kamal Nurafifah 7-3 and then decimating Poland’s Wioleta Myszor 6-0 in the Round of 32. Her form has been exceptional, and she continues to shine on the global stage.
Unfortunately, Ankita Bhakat, who finished 11th in the Ranking Round, was shown the door in the opening round of women’s individual archery after losing to Wioleta Myszor.
Bhajan Kaur was the saving grace for the Indian archery team. Earlier in the week, the team faced disappointment in the women’s team quarter-final loss to the Netherlands. However, Bhajan’s strong performance has injected hope and confidence into the team.
